Ordering a luxury dress online without being able to try it on first — this is often parents' main concern. At Rosablue Baby, we’ve thought of everything to ensure every order is perfect. All our dresses are made to order after your purchase, allowing us to offer you two very simple options: standard size according to age, or your own measurements for a dress tailored to your child's exact body shape.
Standard size or custom measurements — how to choose?
Standard size according to age
This is the simplest and quickest option. You choose the size that corresponds to your child's age from our selection, and we make the dress in our standard dimensions. This option suits the vast majority of children whose body shape matches their age.
However, children grow at very different rates. A 5-year-old girl might have the build of a 4-year-old or a 6-year-old. That's why, when in doubt, we always recommend custom measurements.
Custom measurements — for a dress made exactly for her
When adding to your cart, you can provide your child's exact measurements. We then make the dress according to these precise measurements, for a result perfectly fitted to her body shape. This is the ideal option if your child is small for their age, tall for their age, or if they have a unique body shape.
The 3 measurements to take before ordering
Take these measurements with a flexible tape measure, directly on your child, without thick clothing.
Total height: your child standing, barefoot, from head to floor. This is the basic measurement for the dress length.
Chest circumference: pass the tape measure under the armpits, at the top of the chest, parallel to the floor. This is the most important measurement for the bodice.
Waist circumference: at the narrowest part of the stomach, just above the navel. Important for Mikado, Sophia, and Polka dresses which have a fitted bodice.
For babies who can't stand yet: lay your baby on a flat surface and measure from head to toe for height. For chest circumference, wrap the tape around the upper torso while keeping the baby calm and lying down.

Tips according to Rosablue Baby models
Long or short Mikado dress: structured cut. Prioritize chest circumference for the bodice. If your child is between two sizes, choose the larger size.
Tulle Lace Mikado dress: same advice as Mikado. Be sure to measure the chest circumference and provide measurements in the cart for this premium model.
Luna dress: loose and comfortable fit by design. It is intended to allow freedom of movement. Primarily rely on your child's height.
Sophia dress: multiple layers of fabric, voluminous cut. Provide custom measurements for this model to ensure a perfectly fitted bodice.
3D Flowers dress: very voluminous skirt. Rely on the chest circumference for the bodice. The dress can be worn slightly larger without it being noticeable.
3D Butterfly dress: same logic as the 3D Flowers. The skirt is full — focus on the chest circumference.
Perla dress: fitted beaded bodice. Custom measurements are highly recommended for this model to ensure a perfect fit.
Angel dress: the skirt is full tulle. Rely on the chest circumference for the top. The detachable puff sleeves adapt to most body shapes.
Cristelle dress: same logic as the Angel dress. Chest circumference is the priority.
Polka dress: available in age ranges. Provide your baby's measurements when ordering for babies under 12 months.
When to take measurements?
Take measurements as close to the order date as possible to have the most up-to-date data. If the ceremony is more than 6 weeks away, add a slight growth margin. If in doubt between two sizes, always choose the larger size — a slightly large dress can always be adjusted, a dress that is too small never can.
Pre-orders and manufacturing times
All Rosablue Baby dresses are made to order after your purchase — this ensures their quality and exclusivity. There is no pre-made stock: each dress is created specifically for your child.
